* My Journal
border corner

I have been in multiple newspapers, on television news and demonstrated my horses at National Expo's for the public. You can follow my career by looking back into the archives to my past pages even my first pages to get a view of what I have gone through.

I expect this will not be the last you hear from me in regards to my horses so allow me to brag a little and exploit myself in the one great thing I enjoy in life. My passion, my love, my glory of the horse.

Welcome to my Stables

* I welcome you to enter into my world of horsemanship. Take a look at what I do and how I go about doing it. I thought that presenting you this side of my life would be a bit of a change and perhaps give you an inside look at what one must go through in the world of showing horses.

* Now I can not say that what I do every trainer, rider and horse owner does the identical things but for me it works well and gets me going in the direction I want to be in.

* I have been showing Arabian Horses since my 4th year of birth. I started riding a little over my second year and was considered an exceptional rider within a matter of a few short months. We all excel in certain things, to be able to find that thing and explore it is a goal we all set for ourselves. I have had the opportunity of having a wonderful family that have gone overboard in their efforts to see that my goals are met.

* 2:p.m. until 8:p.m. Free Time

Getting Ready for Show

* I have to clean out the trailer, stock with fresh sawdust on the floor. I have to pack trailer with equipment. For each horse I have to include two buckets, for grain and water, bridles, saddles, hay, work gear, pitchfork, manure bucket, saddle racks, costumes, boots, whips, blankets, shampoos, cleaners, broom, signs, and of course all the qualifying paperwork on the horses and myself.

*Bath horse prior to shipping them, bath after arrival at the destination. Exercise horse at destination. Unload the equipment and set it up close to the horses to access right away. Set up a camper, a trailer and find stalls for horses.  Fill water buckets, put in sawdust at destination. Set up costumes and make sure everything is ready for the following morning to show. Rise at 6 feed horses at show, bath again and braid, wrap and decorate horse according to classes.

* The days are long and tiring but when you walk away with that ribbon, trophy or cash winnings you feel like you can do it all again without regret. When you walk away without getting the ribbons, trophies, or cash you feel like you are dead and that you just cant manage another day, but you take a breath, close your eyes and know that tomorrow is another day and perhaps you will do well then.

* Through the years I have taken my share of the winners circles. My walls line with trophies and my horses have more than paid for themselves in cash earnings, but I have seen the down side also and I know it takes a very special kind of will power to keep going. I have that will power, to be the best in what I do. I love the fact that at such a young age I can take a young horse start it from the ground up train it myself and then get into the ring and show it. I compete right next to the big guys, the national names of trainers and professionals. I might not be where they are yet but I am on my way so I advise them to move over and make a spot for me, Alexandra. I am coming with a vengeance with a quest, a goal as you say, after all I must live up to my name Alexandra The Great.
